Simulations with a purpose
Environmental Analytics
Have you ever felt a disconnect when communicating with your technical consultants, because the assumptions and implications of an analysis feel overwhelmingly complex? Perhaps you understand an analysis was conducted, but are unclear about how the analysis impacts the design, schedule or budget? We’ve been there! We know what it’s like to struggle through reading lengthy reports or data-heavy tables without finding the key information.
What AIRLIT studio offers is more than a suite of simulation services; it’s an analytical approach to answering performance questions. With experience in both architecture and engineering across projects of varying scales and budgets, we understand that a design decision may impact each stakeholder differently. As part of our process, we assist our clients in framing the intent behind an energy, comfort, or indoor air quality analysis, considering factors such as the design concept, project schedule, cost or other key drivers. We are strong believers in back-of-the-envelope calculations and benchmarking. Don’t be surprised if you hear us say, “you don’t need a CFD for that!” In addition, we’re graphics-driven. Drawing from our extensive teaching and consulting background, we recognize that how we communicate plays a vital role in the design process, ensuring seamless integration of architecture and performance.
